The CCP/Handgun Basics Course is an 8 hour course which consists of both classroom education and practical training on the range.  Upon completion of this course students will receive a signed certificate of completion which will allow them to qualify for an Oregon Concealed Carry Permit. 
















When:

Class starts at 8:00am and ends at 5:00pm

Who Should Attend?
Anyone wanting to find out more about concealed carry and self defense
Anyone needing an Oregon concealed handgun permit
This is the perfect course for the beginner just getting into personal self defense.

What if I don’t have a Handgun?
Let us know and we may be able to provide options. Attendee will be responsible for their range ammo.

Classroom Instruction will include:
• Firearms Safety
• Handgun basics-101
• How to choose a defensive handgun
• Concealed carry options
• Proper gear selection and placement
• Principles of self defense
• Oregon concealed carry laws
• The use of deadly force
• Pre and post conflict options
• Communicating with the police
• The judicial process

Firing Range Instruction will include:
• Basic gun handling
• Shooting stance
• The Draw
• Proper grip
• Sight alignment & sight picture
• Trigger control
• Proper Follow Through 
• Personal practice routines

(+ $20.00 range fee at the door for non-DRRC members.  Total cost for non-DRRC members: $95.00)

Required Materials:

-Note pad & pen/pencil
-Firearm
-Belt holster (if you plan on carrying concealed in another manner (purse) email us
-Minimum of three magazines for semi-autos or speed clips for revolvers
-Belt holders for spare magazines
-150-200 rounds of ball ammunition for your caliber
-Ear protection (electronic preferred)
-Eye protection (which wraps around preferred)
-Long pants, closed toe shoes, jacket/sweater, concealed carry clothes
-Range bag to put all your gear in
-Water
-An open mind
