Note:  Competition will include, but is not limited to, these stages.

Hostage Rescue: 200 points. After negotiating a small obstacle course the shooters will run up to the "Crusader Wall" (stepped wall) where they will engage a Hostage target from 200 Yards. Contestants will Fire 4 rounds prone, 2 rounds standing, 2 rounds kneeling and 2 rounds sitting, for a total of ten rounds. This stage will be timed and the shooter’s time will be used as a "tie breaker".

Know Your Limit’s: 200 points. This stage will be done from 0-100 yards. Shooters will shoot two rounds from a designated firing line utilizing the prone position. Everyone will move to another (closer) designated firing line and fire two more rounds (prone). This process will be repeated (moving closer and closer) until all competitors have fired ten rounds. The target will consist of several geometric shapes ranging in size. The smaller the target the more points that will be awarded, but if you miss a target, you will not receive any points for this entire course of fire.

Simulated Sniper Mission: 200 points.
Everyone will receive a mission briefing and a mission packet. Shooters will be given 15 minutes to take detailed notes that will help them successfully complete this mission. We will then move into the field where they will individually try to complete the mission using their memory, notes, and skills. This mission will include moving targets and negotiating an obstacle course. It will consist of ten rounds fired from various ranges out to 300 yards.

Long distance Engagement: 100 points. Shooters will be given 5 minutes to engage a human size silhouett with ten rounds from out to 1K yards.

Rapid Target Engagement: 100 points. Contestants will be enclosed in a box and be given (via radio) a target number. A trap door will open for a brief period of time exposing the target downrange. The shooter will have to engage the target with two rounds before the door closes. They will then be given another target number and the process will repeat until they have fired ten rounds at five different targets. The targets will be 3" circles (numbered) and this event will take place from less than 100 yards.

Helo Assault: 200 points.  For this stage shooter's will be strapped into/outside a Bell Jet Ranger.  We will take off and fly over the target area and once the targets are identified the helo will hover for "30" seconds allowing the snipers a semi-stable platform to engage "5" human silhouettes at various ranges.  Shooters will be using a brand new POF-USA .308 16" rifle equipped with an optic for this stage. Each silhouette will be engaged with "2" rounds for a total round count of 10 (ammunition and rifle will be supplied).  The winner of this stage takes home the rifle (valued at $2,600.00).
**Note: We need 30 participants to make this stage (helo) happen. If we do not get 30 shooters pre-registered by the cut off date we will not be able to run this stage. Contestants will be refunded half their entry fee ($100.00) at this time.**

Military Style Concealment Exercise: 50 points. In a wooded area the snipers (10 at a time) will have ten minutes to conceal themselves. After the 10-minute preparation, a spotter 100 yards away will visually search the area for 2 minutes without the use of optics. After 2 minutes, the spotter searches the wooded area (from his position) for 10 minutes, using binoculars or spotting scope. After the 12 minute observation period is up a "walker" will move to within ten feet of the sniper who will have a firing solution on the spotter. The spotter will hold up a 8"x8" orange card which will have a 2" number on it. If the sniper can identify this number while remaining undetected and in his shooting position he will receive full points for this exercise.

Target Indicators: These indicators the only things the spotter can use to bust the sniper. No guessing!

  1. - Contrast to background.
  2. - Improper camoflage.
  3. - Shine.
  4. - Outline.
  5. - Movement.
  6. - Sound.

Weakside Hostage Rescue: 200 points. Shooters will engage a silhouette target from 200 yards while firing from their weakside. There will be 4 rounds fired prone, 2 rounds standing, 2 rounds kneeling, and 2 rounds sitting for a total of ten rounds.
